With the good weather, Mrs Y & I decided to have a wander round the Rising Sun Country Park this evening. We didn't see anything out of the ordinary, but enjoyed the exercise.
Wykeham Forest - Saturday 8th June 2013
Noddle, Mrs Y & I headed south for a quick trip to see some raptors.
Today's Sightings - Sparrowhawk, Common Buzzard, Goshawk, Kestrel, Chaffinch, Raven, Jackdaw, Magpie, Swift, Swallow & Blue Tit. No sign of Honey Buzzard.
Red-Backed Shrike - Saturday 1st June 2013
Noddle & I decided to take a quick trip to St Mary's to have a look at a male Red-backed Shrike.
After 15-20 minutes with the help of a couple of other birders, we managed to get some great views even if it was a little far away.
Today's sightings included - Red-backed Shrike, Reed Bunting & Linnet.
